Bigben and Frogwares are pleased to announce that a publishing deal has been reached between the two companies. Bigben will be the publisher and distributor of The Sinking City – the new IP from Frogwares.
The Sinking City is a Lovecraft inspired investigative adventure game set in the fictional city of 1920’s Oakmont, Massachusetts. The city, a wide open-world oozing with insanity, is being taken over by an unfathomable supernatural force, and it’s up to the player to find out what has taken control of the city… and the minds of the people within it.
“The Sinking City is our biggest project to date, and is a natural evolution of our game design style that we’ve been polishing since our first Sherlock Holmes game,” said Wael Amr, the CEO of Frogwares. “We’ve received both commercial and critical success with our Sherlock Holmes series. The Sinking City brings that heritage, but on a much grander and ambitious scale. We are looking forward to continuing our partnership and joining forces once more.” added Amr.
“We are proud to be continuing our collaboration with Frogwares on a project as rich and innovative as The Sinking City. Lovecraft’s imagination has been a source of inspiration for the fantastic from the 20th century through to the 21st, and the studio’s vision of it is breathtaking. All of this experienced team’s talent is needed to develop an open world blending investigation, action and adventure in a town where horror merges into madness.” stated Benoit Clerc, Director of Video Games at Bigben.
The Sinking City is currently in production and will be available in 2018 on PC and consoles.
